The Story Behind
Dr. Lupardus
I took my last national board exam away from home, and while I was gone, I miscarried. When I came back, I was expected to carry on like nothing had happened. Something big had happened, and I knew I could not keep building a career, or a life, the way I had been building it.
So I did something that felt terrifying at the time. I opened my own practice on my terms: part-time hours, a perinatal and pediatric niche that lit me up, and a schedule that had me home for dinner every night.
One month after I opened, I found out I was pregnant with my rainbow baby. I hit six figures before delivering our baby, and I built the whole practice around fewer than fifteen clinical hours a week. Through maternity leave, through COVID, and through a second baby twenty months after the first, the practice kept growing. Not because I worked harder, and not because I found some shortcut. Because I stopped trying to build it the way everyone told me I had to.
About two years in, I discovered Human Design. What I thought was a limitation, my Projector energy, my need for short, focused bursts of work instead of long grinding days, my instinct to listen before I ever pitch anything, turned out to be the blueprint I had been missing the whole time. I had not been doing it wrong. I had been doing it exactly right, without a framework to explain why.
Now I help other women healthcare professionals, mostly chiropractors, build practices that support their lives instead of consuming them. Not through hustle, and not through a script you memorize and repeat at the front desk. Through the Aligned Practice Method, a way of building your income and your schedule around who you are, so the practice fits your life instead of the other way around.
Outside the clinic, I'm homeschooling two boys, running a small business with my husband, and still learning to speak up for what I want instead of quietly keeping the peace. I tell you that because I am not coaching you from some finished, hustle-free mountaintop. I am building this alongside you, one decision at a time.
If you are a healthcare professional who is good at the clinical work and tired of the model built around it, I would love to talk.
